Adam built it initially. It was ruined over time. Abraham and his son Ismael, restored it during their time.

According to Quran, ka'ba originally placed in heaven for purpose of angel to pray.The name was Ba'kah, and it was sent down before adam sent to earth.
Because of this, some angel want it back, then Allah made another one,a copy for them. It had been rebuild several times. Basically ka'ba is not the building that we can see, but the stone underneath it.

It was thee at the time of Adam, but later destroyed by natural calamity. Late4r rebuilt by Abraham and Ismail. ( AS) together as instructed by Allah. After was many times rebuilt on account of destructions by natural calamity and even built ur after birth of prophet Muhammad ( Saws)

Some human beings built it, and there were 360 idols as stated in Sahih Bukhari 3:43:658.
Muhammad discarded the 360 idols but retained for Islam, the Ka’aba with its Black Stone.
Black Stone was one among many stones and idols venerated at the Ka’aba by the pre-Islamic pagans.
Pre-Islamic pagans used do Circumambulation to please the moon god Hubal, the 360 deities and Allah (who was merely one among the many deities worshipped there).
Hubal was the moon god worshiped at the Ka’aba. The crescent moon was Hubal’s symbol.

1st kaaba build by adam (as) and when flood of nooh (as) came every thing was drown including kaaba and then ibrahim (as) and ismail (as) build again but on the same base in that time kaaba was bigger and in the shape of rectangle but time to time people rebuild the kaaba smaller then before and now kaaba became almost in square shape
