Ramadan: Are McDonald restaurants haram?

I heard from this section that McDonadls is haram
for me I eat McDonadls and I dont think its Haram all the world now kill animals by cutting their throat fast, all you have to do is just say Bismillah before u eat it and thats it

Anyway is McDonadls in Malaysia Haram?

I assure you it is NOT HARAM.



It's actually comes from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. There was a huge intifada and people in Amman, Jordan were protesting and some Muslim organizations urged the Public to boycott McDonald's. But McDonald's still keep receiving customers and still making a very good business.



Boycott Coca-Cola, because they say Jews make them and distribute them.

It's so confusing and dumb. There was no such thing like oneness. They may confute that Satan the Devil is winning on this one and he is making many people trying those haram things.



Funny thing is that it's Ramadan now and I see people drinking either Pepsi and Coca-Cola. Yup, that's right. I said, Coca-Cola.



Malaysia has many muslim people there. I don't know if they have McDonald's there, but I would not be surprised if they won't allow one there if they consider it haram.



They sure do have a long list of haram items! I'm curious to know how short the halal list is!

There are more things that go into making a product able to be certified as halal. The animals have to be treated certain ways while living and not have chemicals to make them grow etc. It is not ok to eat food slaughtered by non-muslims unless you have no other choice. More then likely you will have other choices. Not all animals are killed in slaughter houses by slitting their throats. Many are also electrocuted as a way of controlling them before the slaughter.

Also, I have read that the cheese and other products such as buns etc served in McDonalds really do not meet halal standards. They use enzymes that are not halal. To each their own eat what you like do what you want to do, we as individuals will all have to stand before Allah) he will know whats in our hearts. Inshallah we as Muslims will continue to try and educate ourselves and others so that the right choices are made.

I dont believe its haram. I have heard the meat of ahl al kitba is halal, like u said, just say bismillah before u eat.

My brother just recently starting working in Mc Donalds kitchen. He told us that when they cook the beef patties, they have their own seperate grill form the pork. But, when they have lunch rush, or when they're in a hurry, they may grill the beef patties on the pork grill, without wiping it real well. So sometimes the patties may have pork particles.



Although he did say the chicken nuggets arre ok, and all the chicken sandwiches. And also, fish is ok to eat.

If the meat is halal. I live in Ireland so i just have chips and fish fingers or a dessert. I also have pancake breakfats but i dont eat any of the meat products, but i know some muslims who do. They say its ok as it is slaughtered by people of the book, but i personally woldnt eat it. you dont know where your meat is coming from.

It's not about whether you think it's halal or not, it's about whether they kill the animals in the islamic way or not.

It's not enough to say bismillah.



Even her in the middle east, you have to ask about the owner of McDonalds and know if they kill it in the islamic way or not. I'm not sure about Malaysia. You have to ask there.

Actually they STUN their animals first, check out PETA regarding that, then they slice em.



It's haram if they dip the food in pork fat and etc.,

It could be allowed if there is no HALAL meat in your area for miles and miles and beef/chicken is something you can eat.

Mc Donald caters to the market where it operates and introduces changes in it's offerings according to the market in which it operates. In middle east and other Muslim countries they will certainly keep the food halal otherwise they won't have any customers.
