Theres 2 way to explain it one for good soul another for bad soul

GOOD SOUL

1) in the grave of a good soul the angels will come and ask him 3 question 1) who is your lord? 2nd) who was the man that came to tell/warn you of your lord? 3rd) what religion do you follow?.

2 ) if the good soul passes the test , the angel will show him hellfire and will say this is what you would have gotten if you have got the questions wrong and next the angel will show him heaven and will say to him this is what you get for passing the test

3) he will see a handsome person coming to him with a really good face and the good soul will ask him who are you and the person with the handsome face will say i am your good deeds

3) he will enjoy it until the day of judgement

BAD SOUL

1) in the grave of a bad soul the angel will come and ask him the same question as i listed up

2) if he fail the test the angel will show him heaven and say this is what you would have gotten if you pass the trial and then they will show the bad soul hellfire and will say this is what you get for failing the test

3) an really ugly person with the ugliest face will appear when the bad soul ask him who he is the person will reply i am your bad deeds and i will stay with you till the day of judgement

4) an deaf blind and mute person will appear in that person hand will be a hammer the hammer power is so powerful if he strike a mountain with it the mountain will turn to dust so the person will strike the bad soul with that hammer until the day of judgement

5) he will be punished till the day of judgement

Theres a way to avoid the trial

Recite surah mulk before sleeping every night

Forgive me for the bad grammer :(

. Grave punishment - the sinner's horrible punishment will begin immediately from their grave.

. Straight forward, the body and soul will both be affected by tribulation or reward in the grave, according to previous deeds and actions done in the worldly life.

It is "Azaab al Qabr". It is the Punishment that a sinful person gets when he dies and buried in the grave.
