Yes Allah gives to some and not others ... This is a test for everyone. AND PEOPLE FAIL TO REALISE...

Allâh burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maulâ (Patron, Suppor-ter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people." (Al-Baqarah 2:286)

Yes its all a ttest, and actually being wealthy is a very hard test because thats when you are suppose to help out others and very few people do c they become very materialistic. Kids born with defects is a test that Allah send to the parents of those kids and having many wealth power is a difficult test as well everything we endure is a test that Inshallah we can all pass

Yes. This whole life is a test but non muslims and muslims fail to realize. It doesn't matter if You are poor, rich, power fulll, norpower fulll, not high in rank, high in rank, etc, etc... We will return to Allah swt on the day of judgement.

This life is full of benefits and fortunes: The land on which man constructs his dwelling, and grows his food, drinks, dress... etc., all represents the nourishment for man's body and soul proceeding towards Allah. Man of course cannot do without these vital necessities. the one who takes from these necessities only according to his real need as commanded by Allah is saved and praised. But whoever takes more than necessary for himself falls into covetousness which will lead him into harm instead of benefit, and consequently divert him from the right path towards Allah and the Hereafter.

Likewise, taking less than required of the worldly benefits is harmful because the human body needs to satisfy certain basic needs, and that will increase its capability to worship Allah perfectly.

In the Quran.

"Truly, the life of this world is nothing but a [quick passing] enjoyment, and verily, the Hereafter that is the home that will remain forever." [Qur'an, 40:39]

"And know that your possessions and your children are but a trial and that surely with Allah is a mighty reward." [Qur'an 8:28]

And strain not your eyes in longing for the things We have given for enjoyment to various groups of them [polytheists], the splendour of the life in this world, that We may test them thereby." [Qur'an 20:131]

"And put forward to them the example of the life of this world: It is like the water [rain] which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it, and becomes fresh and green. But [later] it becomes dry and broken pieces, which the winds scatter. And Allah is Able to do everything." [Qur'an 18:45]

Yes it is a test to see how we use it. Some ppl do use it very wisely and some just show off and forget that Allah subhana wa talla gave them that wealth and that it can be taken off them aswell.

Salamalaykum. Yes it is a test. Life is a test on how well we listen to Allah (swt). Please watch this video to get a good understanding of Skiekh Khalid Yasin giving a good explanation of it http://www.islamreligion.com/videos/2280/

yes of course .As God has mentioned it already in Quran .

He said :

1-We have created man to examine him/her .we gave him visual and the sense of hearing,We have showed him the right way ,whether he will be thankful or not .

2-We showed human beings our signs and symbol in the world and in themselves so that they realize that God is truthful .Isn't it enough that ur God is witness to everything ?

and in many other cases He has emphasize this fact.

Dear Friend, I would like to ask you if atheism is true, I blame nature and/or the world for all the seething problems experienced by the world. I would still believe in an almighty, personal, loving and just God because that “illusion” itself brings so much joy, peace and comfort in my life that even though knowing that my life here is ultimately dust, I lived a life that is worth it. Atheism ultimately has nothing but utterly dark hopelessness to offer the world when the fleeting pleasures of this world have lost their appeal and man reaches satiety point and/or continual frustrating discontent for more and more. Nothing fills that dreaded vacuum inside of us. Many who have enjoyed all the riches, sex, and all the pleasures money can buy in this life have committed suicide or have ended up completely broken on the inside saying life is just not worth living anymore and craving for death.

Darwinism crumbles to the dust when confronted with Emile Borel’s law of probability which states that if an event does not occur in 1 x 10 to the power of 50, that event can NEVER occur. The probability of evolution occurring is 1 x 10 to the power of 162. It is not even worth dreaming about! It goes against the Second Law of Thermodynamics which states that matter always goes from orderliness to disorderliness at a much faster rate than what can be accomplished from disorderliness to orderliness. The chances of evolution occurring here are NIL.

Modern Genetics and the latest discoveries in Astrophysics regarding the universe’s physical constants crush atheism to bits. Read these mind-blowing and latest classic books: “Darwin’s Black Box” by Michael Behe, Phil Johnson’s “Darwin on Trial”, and Ankerberg and Weldon’s “Darwin’s Leap of Faith.” Stunner books! Atheism does great disservice to science rather than serve science, which no doubt rules the world either directly or indirectly. We almost totally live our modern lives on science. On the flipside, personal theism goes much more in harmony with modern science than atheism.

Dear Friend, mental illness is just one of very many illnesses and problems in society that are sociogenic (caused by us, society, and we should not blame or curse anybody) and are just symptoms we have or can get because of innate sin in all human beings. There are no strong minded or weak minded folks. Everybody is on the tip of the cliff just by God’s constant grace and mercy or the world’s and/or nature’s grace and mercy if one is an atheist. The number of mental illnesses among individuals with no ancestral history of insanity is now more (called reactive illness) than those genetically predisposed to illness due to family history of insanity (called endogenic illness). There are about 2,400 genetic illnesses in the world one of which is mental illness, which is morally neutral and not morally right or wrong so there is absolutely no basis for anybody to feel ashamed because of mental illness as she/he has not done anything morally wrong. We, Indians and third world countries, have the flawed notion that mental illness is caused by demons or shows weakness of mind or character in a person. Modern science has completely rubbished all that. It says mental illness can strike anybody anytime including the so-called “strong” people based on chemical imbalances in the brain, which in turn are caused sociogenic and/or environmental factors. Social stigma itself is one of the several social mind disorders, which our society must by cured by social psychiatry/counseling through the media. God has made human beings primarily intellectual and moral beings and secondarily emotional beings. Morals are for our long term good that may not reflect in the short term. God created moral laws for the highest good of mankind. The rich rewards come much later in life for which the virtues of patience and unshakeable faith in a good and just God are very much needed. Immorality brings very temporary and fleeting pleasure but the long term price much later in life is just too costly. Abstinence and faithful marriages built solidly on values, mutual respect, fairplay, and equal sacrifice (Elton John-Sacrifice; lovers must listen to this very often and make it the theme of their relationship) with each other will make couples cope with even the worst hell this crazy world can throw at them.

God does not judge mental illness but the root of mental illness which is immoral choices (sin) in all of us. Mental illness is just the symptom of the greatest troublemaker for us all, the enemy within, sin.
