hmmm ?!

Sis, open ur eyes and Read:

- leggings are so tight

- swimsuit isnt a bag, so its not big, its tight too

- how fast should u be to wrap it before anyone see u? not that fast.

- and Remember that water will make ur clothes even much more tight.

Thank God that u arent married asking ur husband that. LOL who would allow his wife to show her shape? no one... see? u are still Very young :P

seriously sis, when u pray u hide ur shape etc... so it would be hypocrisy towards Allah to pray with modest clothe and then after praying u show ur shape.

Fear Allah sis, thats haram .

Salam sis :)

Asalaamu alykum wa ramatollhi wa barakatuhu sister :)

if you leave something you love for Allah SUbhanhu wa Ta'ala, Allah Subhanhu wa Ta'ala will replace it with somthing better. and you will get all the pools and rivers and waterfalls to swim in Jannah

so i think dont go b/c your figure will show a lot and it's mixed etc etc..or at least try to order the hijabi swim suits..but really i think it's bordering on a sin if not already one.. so as i said if you refrain yourself from it.. Insha'Allah Ta'ala one day you might find an all girl one.. or as i said there will be waiting all the seas and pools you can imagine waiting for you in Jannah if you obey Allah SUbhanhu wa Ta'ala

:)

Have your father build a swimming pool in the house. That's what they do in Middle Eastern countries for their wives and daughters. The women have a private swimming pool in their own home. In the circumstances you are describing, yes that would be wrong to engage in swimming when around non-mahram men (and it is best to be careful about showing your awrah to non-mahram women as you don't know if they are lesbian or bi-sexual). Leggings are tight and show your legs. Bathing suits are tight (bikinis are out of the question as they show off your breasts and your skin). No one is fast enough to wrap a towel around their self before stepping out of the pool. Men and women should not mingle with each other upon puberty as their mingling could cause fitnah and lead to az-zina.

It speaks volumes when you follow a religion that forbids women to go swimming IN SWIM WEAR.

JUST CHECKING - this IS the twenty first century isn't it?

this IS 2010........................

Just WHAT is it that makes you feel that the sight of your bare bits - arms, legs, midriff and head - will make ALL men go wild with sexual urges - because I rather suspect it's 98% WISHFUL THINKING rather than "decorum" - SO PICK THE BONES OUT OF THAT ! ! !

Well not really because your figure can be seen and its in a pool where there will be men. I know how you feel, I also enjoy swimming but its better to abstain than expose yourself like that.

So to answer your question, yes it is haram.

It is criminal that girls can no longer go swimming once they hit puberty in Islam: it's a great way to stay healthy. If you don't hang around the pool showing off your body, nobody will care. Islam is a religion of agorophobics. The truth is that people don't care how you look unless you are unusual, like unusually gorgeous, or show unnecessary amounts of skin. So chances are you are protecting your "modesty" from people who couldn't care less.

But try wearing a burkini and see what looks you get.

They make swimsuits for muslimahs that are more appropriate. Try these websites:

Swimming in public swimming pools

It is possible to go to public beaches and pools, even if you wear something that properly covers you and you do not pay attention to what others are wearing.

No. What makes muslims think that everyone is looking at them when they aren't. Everyone looks the same in the costume anyway.
