Question:
Losing Wudhu during Salat?

Assalamu Alaiykum

Firstly, the things that invalidate ablution, or wudhu are:
1. Passing of excrement, urine or wind
2. Deep Sleep
3.Losing of one's senses by any means such as madness, fainting, drunkenness, or use of drugs etc,..[even though the last 2 are HARAAM]
4. Touching the sexual organs intentionally and with naked hands.

My question is, what happens if DURING salat Wudhu is invalidated? Are you required to get up and restart or is it permissable to continue. ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS FROM MUSLIMS!

Thanks in advance, =)

Dear,

Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahhi Wabarakatuh.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Losing Wudhu (wudu') Ablution, during Prayers (Solat).

Immediately "Stop Praying" the moment that you're sure that you lost your Ablution (wudu'). It is a sin to continue.

Perform again the Ablution (wudu') and start a fresh Prayer. Never continue. It's wrong. Once the Ablution lost, the whole prayer is invalid. Let it be a compulsory or sunat Prayers.

Wabillahhitaufiq Walhidayah Wassalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahhi Wabarakatuh.

You should raise your hands, say Allaho Akbar, look to the right and leave the Salat to refresh your Wudu.

If you are leading Salat in Jamat, you should do the same, exept pull the person directly behind you and put him in the position of imam, then leave.

edit: it means that someone has to continue leading the salat, so you must pull someone from the first row, preferably the person right behind you and move him to the position to lead the salat so it can be completed by him for the rest of the jamat.

Assalamu Alaikum

It is required of you to stop, get up, redo wudu, and start salat all over again. The reason for this is you just contaminated your pure prayer to Allah, with something that is dirty. We are to offer salat with a pure heart, mind, body and spirit. So if any part of us becomes dirty we have to stop and make ourselves pure(right) before Allah

Salam Sister. I have this problem too, though not with wudu. During prayer I sometimes forget how many rakat I have done, so I simply add another one or two to it, until I am sure I have done at least what is required. I would rather have too many rakat than not enough.

Assalamualaikum

If one passes the wind during salat or anything mention above.. urine blah.. they should break the salat and they should do the wudhu over and re-do the Salat.and if one passes urine or something.. change the inner and ..........over..

well we all know.. Allah is merciful..

If you have a flatulence problem that you know you cannot complete any prayer without blowing, then that is considered an illness for the day.. and Allah would excuse you... Someone who is ill and cannot for some reason make prayers is excused... Same if you had (excuse me folks) diaheria.. you certainly wouldnt want to risk bending over and having an accident.. so you are excused.. Just after your stomach settles if its for the day or whatnot, then resume your prayers at such time you feel your bout is over..

having said this.. My husband always complains that there are men in the masjid that toot during prayer and dont leave...

its horribly embarrassing, I guess the perpetrator just pretends that it wasnt him, it was the next guy and by not moving, he wont bring embarrassing attention to himself.. How embarrassing would it be if you tooted real loud then during the quietness of the prayer, got up and left.. it would be "ALL EYES" on you at that moment.. looooooool

Oh well.. thank Allah it never happened to me..

I'm under the impression you should re-do and purify right away. I've heard other things but feel it's not worth the risk. I know however that if for instance if you have a flatulence problem and can't control when you fart and things of that nature than you should just pray it through. Most of us have learned to control that kinda stuff. Wa Laikom Salam sister !

You have to break the Salaat by giving salaam to your right and left, and like Mustafa said if your leading the prayer you have to indicate to the person behind you by pulling gently on him to come lead the salaat.

I found this very interesting!

no if you are praying and you pass gas you must stop your salat and continue after you do wudu again.
