You have to be covered for prayer the same as you would going outside. Hijab etc but as long as your clothes are clothes that you would go outside in then its okay inshallah. It becomes disliked if they are too tight or see through.

Please note there is no such thing as islamic dress because this differs from place to place. There is permissible dress and impermissable dress. I hope this helps please see www.sunnipath.com for more details search answers section.

Some body parts are necessarily to be 'covered' by women, some by men. The type of dress, loose or tight, is not the basic. About an innocent child's interference during Namaz, or any other involuntary interference has to be handled by the basic advice of the Holy Prophet. "The religion is very easy and whoever over burdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way" (Bukhari). The Indians are very well aware of a great name : Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali. He wrote a booklet on this subject, which, in the past hundred years has been printed over and over again. It advises on a personal decision over such trivialities as the innocent, involuntary interferences when praying Farz Namaz(Fard Salat in Arabic) at home. The examples given are: Coughing and the necessity to spit out phlegm; answering a bell when alone in the house; to quiet a crying (any other noise-making child' ); etc. and adds inconveniences in extremely cold weather to perform a Wuzu(Wudu) or taking off shoes .. .. .. In all such cases, your personal 'ijtihad' would be valid for your personal namaz. What is more important in Namaz is the concentration that you are in Divine presence. All else is secondary. Fiqh may provide answers to a public question, not a private, personal question. ALLAH knows better..

as salam o alaikum sister,

First of all it is good that you use abaya.

Well, when you are performing Salah/Namaz, only your hands and face should be uncovered... which means your whole body should be covered even your hairs, no matter if you are at home or at work or at Masjid.

About Kaba... this really is a good question... but I don't have any authentic source yet.., so I can't answer this question right now...

and about answering your kid during namaz... well we are not suppose to do so... and if some one does, start salah again from the beginning. but if your kid is a baby, and he/she really needs you, you must answer him/her even if you are performing Salah (then complete it later from beginning)

(-) well I don't think that there is any tight restriction of loose or tight clothes if you are at home... the important thing is your whole body should be covered., with whatever you like to wear.

Um... some scholars like maulana thanwi, said the kaaba will be destroyed before the day of judgement.

It's understood by most scholars that you have to have a loose garment on, reaching from the neck to the wrists and ankles, as well as a headcovering, to pray (Namaaz/salah)

for salah make a quick one piece dress that you can pur on for praying.

yes the kabba will be raised to heaven..I will get you the site

there are no sunna for asr prayers there are 4 raka'as only which you perform , how old is your son? explain to him that you can't answer him while you are praying , you can't talk during prayers...
