Sin to have eye contact with the other sex?

Is it haram to have eye contact with the other sex?
Even if a woman is wearing a niqab, wouldn't it be a sin for a man to have eye contact with her?

Salam The first quick glance is not haram but the second glance(stare off seriously intentionally )with the opposite gender of non mahram person even she are wearing hijab is not allowed or haram to have an eyes contact with her.That is why we should lower our own gaze.when we are going out.

No it is not a sin to happen to have eye contact because the girl raised her veil to see some thing she wants to buy in store or what ever was the reason that gave him a chance to see her beautiful face. .

If you need to talk to them then go ahead look into their eyes. Its only human to do so.



But anyways, I recommend you ask an Imam or someone who has knowledge.
