Yes, read Red Ribbon's article, it will benefit you.

Only non Muslims (including Quranists who try to distort the true Islam) says it is not.

Quran was revealed in Arabic and it should be read in Arabic, because once it is translated it loses at least one of it's miracles, which is the rhetorical language in which it is revealed.

But you can say personal dua's in ur own language. That is not a problem. Other than that, everything must be in Arabic.

@ The Kicker of Oops! If you were sure of urself, you should not block people. Blocking is a coward act. It seems like you could not defend urself against my well-sustained arguments that you Quranists are on the Wrong Path and that you are astray.

May Allah guide u to the Right Path.

Edit, @ The Kicker of Oops!, I have always asked to prove that Hadith contradicts the Quran but u always failed to provide one Hadith to support your KUFR statement. Until then, bear in mind that you are kafir though u believe in the Quran. Many Christians agree that the Quran is from God though they are not Muslims. So, u are not different from them.

Yes reading salah in Arabic is obligatory as the Quran was revealed in Arabic and not in other languages.

And thus We have inspired unto you (O Muhammad SAW) a Qur'ân (in Arabic) 42:7

we read verses from the Qur'an during our prayer, so you need to read the actual verses. For example without reciting surah Fatihah, your prayer is not valid.

And if We had sent this as a Qur'ân in a foreign language other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its Verses explained in detail (in our language)? What! (A Book) not in Arabic and (the Messenger) an Arab?" Say: "It is for those who believe, a guide and a healing. And as for those who disbelieve, there is heaviness (deafness) in their ears, and it (the Qur'ân) is blindness for them. They are those who are called from a place far away (so they neither listen nor understand). (Fussilat 41:44)

The Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wa salaam) said to:

...Pray as you have seen me praying.. (Sahih Bukhari Book 1 Vol 1, Hadith 604)

He sallahu alaihi wa sallaam prayed in Arabic....

"And obey Allah and His Messenger; and fall into no disputes, lest ye lose heart and your power depart; and be patient and persevering: for Allah is with those who patiently persevere." Qur'an 8/46

We can make supplications in our own languages.

Prayer is both commanded in the Qur'aan and hadiths. How you do the prayer was explained by the Prophet Muhammad sallahu alaihi wa sallaam. People have been praying the same ever since.

A simple prayer guide.

Believe it or not -- though I advise you to believe it -- Allah understands all languages and did not pick one race or ethnicity to privilege above all others. You don't get to heaven just because you are Arab. Allah wants the true followers to come together from all nations. Allah has given prophets speaking languages across the planet.

"O mankind, We created you male and female, and you into nations and tribes that you may come to know one another." 49:13. Nowhere in Qur'an does Allah give a decree that all these nations must come to speak Arabic.

Those compulsory things such as "Allahu akbar..." are always in Arabic, but personal prayer no need to be Arabic. Not all Muslims around the world know Arabic, you know

expensive Asker, In Islam, frequently there are a minimum of two considerable forms of prayers: a million. widespread Sunnah [inspired] Prayer [Do'a / Supplication] This widespread prayer, you are able to recite in any language you comprehend. you are able to recite in English, chinese language, Dutch and so on. 2. particular Wajib (necessary) Prayers This necessary Prayers are performed 5 cases an afternoon. in this form of prayers, we could recite in Arabic quite whilst reciting verses from the Holy Quran. For a individual who basically converted / reverted to Muslim, if he/she continues to be getting to grasp, he/she could attempt the main suitable that he/she will do to recite in Arabic [for the mandatory prayers]. some Muslims are of the opinion that for a clean Muslim convert, whilst he/she continues to be getting to grasp, he/she could start up getting to grasp the prayer via reciting interior the language that he/she comprehend. steadily he/she needs to check the Arabic language quite for reciting the Holy Quran.

Yes it is obligatory, because you have to learn to read Qur'an in arabic.

The ones who say it is not obligatory are "Qur'anist" which arent actually muslims because they ignore what the Qur'an says and change it to suit them.

But we do have to learn arabic.

No. I have a feeling He understands many languages.

@oops I always block people who insult others, you on the other hand block people who challenge your statements because you cannot defend your rants or anything else you cut and paste and hide behind 20 accounts. If you have courage why not use this one to rant and see what happens. My one account is stronger than your 20, always was!

@MK: I have responded to you many times. You repeat yourself oft. Here are two of my previous responses:

Edit @ MK: It is your lack of logic. If you had faith in yourself, Quran is all you would need relative to faith. Allah commanded the prophet to follow the Quran, the hadiths are not true and written by the misguided. If it were true it would never contradict the Quran. You insult others, I have seen that on more than one occasion. You think, yours is the only correct way! The Quran says you have your faith and I have mine and I respect that. The verse that refers to follow the example of the prophet was when the Quran was still being delivered and was for people who were living at that time. Prophet forbade writings about him, yet the misguided did, with a twist and sold it for a profit, which is again prohibited in the Quran.

--Another one:

You have your faith and I have mine: The Quran says so. The Quran is for all people of all times, traditions, rituals and cultures are suppose to vary, hence we must not judge. The Quran is the word of God, that is all we need.
