Why even watch movies?

We should spend our days proactive.

Not sitting on the couch watching the awura of the opposite sex.

Some scholars regarded the fast as invalid if a person falls into sin during his fast, even though the correct view is that this does not invalidate the fast, but undoubtedly it detracts from it and goes against the real meaning of fasting.

No. The things that break your fast are eating, drinking (intentionally) and having sexual intercourse. Refraining from gossip, backbiting, and sexual things is highly recommended during the month of Ramadhan. Now, as far as what Jihad said, it is NOT easy to get away from those forms of entertainment , especially if you live in the United States. If you know that a movie has that type of thing in it, don't watch it. If you happen to stumble upon it while flicking channels on the t.v. and you see it, just turn away from it. Allah (swt) knows best, and can help you overcome any trial you are afflicted with. This is the importance of Ramadhan, to help us learn self control and develop spiritually. May Allah (swt) help you with this issue. Even if you may be a troll :-)

I don't think you have started fasting. So the question of breaking fast is useless. Do you fast anyway :) ?

I'm an atheist, married to a Muslim, and with Muslim kids. My husband and the two older kids are fasting. I try not to eat in front of them, and help to prepare iftar (the meal with which they break their fasts). I think it's good for them. It takes a lot of discipline, and they all lose weight, every year, during Ramadan. They have some extra weight to lose, they're not starting out overly thin from the beginning, and won't be when it's over. I would consider fasting, too, but I can't because I'm diabetic and just can't go 14 hours without eating. Islam forbids fasting for people whom would be adversely affected by it (sick, diabetic, etc.).
