For the last 9 months i have given an agency for our product to a devout muslin gentlemen in Malaysia. I have visited with him in Malaysia about 4 times in the last 9 months and as recient as 2 weeks ago. I am at a total loss as to why his office does not answer his phones, faxes or emails. is this because ot activities during the month of Ramadan?

no they are open. most islamic countries have reduced working hours to avoid stressing out employees and avoiding any hindrance between their religious services. you might be calling them when they'd already be off. besides that food services usually are closed during day time in ramadan.

Some of the business closes, not all. But in Saudi Arabia

Ramadan is forced on non Muslims too.

Most of the Saudis are returning home from there pleasure trips round the world to Saudi Arabia they use Ramadan holidays for the fantasy trips.

No businesses do not close down during Ramadan, only shorter working hours (usually for the offices)

may be the work timings have been changed but it seems rediculous that those ppl not working just because of Ramadan.
