people say that you can talk to allah, ask him questions, make dua and that while your in prostration yeah. what i dont get is can you do that in the middle of your prayer while your praying or should you finish your prayer and go down to prostration and then ask allah for forgivness and what not..

if you can make dua in the middle of prayer how can you do this because when you go down to prostration you read subhanallah azeem 3x init so how can you make dua at that time

my second question is what can you say while your ttalking to allah during prostration??
jazakallah khair people

Assalamu'alaikum! (A Muslim should start with this greeting.)

Allah is much closer to you while you offer your prayer and you are really facing Him and He is facing you. While prostrating, Allah is closest to you. You do the tasbih 3x, 5x, 7x, or as many as you wish, but the least is 3x. After the tasbih (subhanallah hal azi miwa bi hamdih 3x) then you say your du'a in your heart (or silently) or even in minimum audible voice. And that's why you might see some Muslims prostrate takes times. This might not be possible in congregation as you should follow your imam. And you can prostrate any time you like. Either it during salat or after salat or any other times when you feel a need.

When we read Farz Salaah we read 'subhaana rabbiyal a'alaa' in prostration (Sajdah). In Farz Salaah we cannot talk to Allah but we can only read the Tasbeeh (subhaana rabbiyal a'alaa).

However, after Farz Salaah you can go into prostration and talk to Allah and ask anything you want from him.

Normally after Farz Salaah we just raise our hands in Duaa, you could talk to Allah while you are making Duaa.

I hope this helped.

1-one may read dua’s in the sajda of nafl salaah or sujood out of salah

2-you can ask any dua but it is preferable to ask the masnon one ...
