Why do we Muslims accept that sex with a POW (sex slave) is something that Allah proves of?

My dear brother and sisters. I am 17 year old Muslimah. I am a humble good and I wear my hijab almost every day. (Sometimes its terrible very hot in Houston so I can't. I do extra dua to Allah and ask for his forgiveness but I will suffocate sometimes)
I am having doubts. Please give me your honest answers.
To me, this concept of sex with someone who is captured and helpless seems to be what a human would approve of - not our perfect and merciful and benevolent Allah. This does not seem at all compassionate to me. I know I am sinning by questioning but I can't help it. I just don't understand this (and other things our beloved Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) did. I am interested in the opinion of my Muslim brothers and sisters. Please think about it. It seems wrong to me

I think you're wrong sister. If you look at the history, you will find that having intercourse (or whatever you call it) with a POW was not a new thing. But when Islam came, it actually gave rights to the captives. Taking care of POW was made an act of worship. They now had the right to be clothed in dignity. Families were not to be separated. Freeing of prisoners was encouraged.



There are actually a couple of stories of captives accepting Islam when they got the kind treatment from Muslims.



I know you will find a LOT of made up stories about our messenger (peace be upon him). You will find a LOT of hatred here. If you have any questions, I believe you should ask your local imam or someone knowledgeable (I know I got the spelling wrong).

Only 1 verse or a few verses or just verses 23:5,6 alone doesn't make the Quran but all over 6000 verses, to get the proper understanding of Islamic principles and in their right contexts.



Also, it should be noted that for the sake of protecting/safeguarding the poetic prowess and eloquence of the Quran, to outsmart the pagan Arab poets of the time, certain Arabic words were omitted as per tradition, which if had been added to the verses would give us a clear meaning but otherwise would spoil the 'rhyming'.



For example see this ayah, supposedly added with the probably omitted word or words (emphasized in brackets)which shall give us the meaning in the proper context:



"If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, Marry women of your choice, two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then (marry) only one, or (marry a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice."



( سورة النساء , An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #3)



Here it means a person can have sex with a slave girl only after freeing her and upon getting her consent for marriage in relation to other verses of the Quran.





What may differ is the 'dowry(bride money)' the man must pay the bride to be. It the case of a 'free woman', the 'dowry' may be huge amount. But in the case of the 'slave' girl, just freeing' the girl is enough for 'dower' to marry the girl.

It is not talking about married women and slaves at all, but love interest. Its about someone with whom the man has a relationship. Right hand posses simply means someone who has taken an oath. Now that can be anyone like:

Someone telling you they will be with you forever

Doctors and investigators.



The answer is in 70:29 to 70:33. Allah never runs out of words. He already explained in those verses the meaning of right hands posses. You will know true Islam only from Quran alone. When I read about her agonising death by cruellest punishment ever to be inflicted on a frail elderly victim, I was sick to the stomach. I read about her death in the Hadiths. I couldn't believe Muhammad and his men were that extraordinary cruel to Umm Qirfa. They took only young women and children as captives, but not the frail elderly people who were either killed off or abandoned and left to fend for themselves. They didn't take men as captives, but killed them off. They even young captive boys who showed pubic hairs, which made them adults in their eyes. That too is in the hadiths.



I am convinced that Islam is corrupted. I am beginning to suspect to think that the Hadiths and Quran were all corrupted by Muhammad's successors. Omar was wholly responsible for editing Quran that was 7 times revised. According to the ahadith, OMAR DECIDED what was to be written inside the Quran and what was to be removed. There are several hadiths that I would like to be questioned. For example, there are few hadiths where Aisha was asked to breastfeed a grown bearded man whose name was Salim. I wondered how she was able to breastfeed since she was barren. She never fell pregnant, so how could she possibly breastfeed from her empty boobs. None of that makes sense to me. I doubt the hadiths on adult breastfeeding as true. What astonishes me to hear many ulemas defending those hadiths.



There is one more hadith that I am questioning. Why was Muhammad caught in the act of ZINA with Maria the Copt when his wife Hasfa walked into her bedroom? Hasfa did say to Muhammad that Maria the Copt was FORBIDDEN to him. If so, then why did Muhammad have zina with Maria since he was not married to her? When Omar saw how Hasfa was insulted, he personally took an umbrage to this. His daughter mattered to him just as much as Fatima mattered to Muhammad. An insult to his daughter was also an insult to himself. The zina with Maria the Copt had caused a rift in the tribes.
