i wish allah would forgive me for asking such questions, but why is it that i always here other users saying that our prophet had intercourse with 9 year olds?

Personally I do not get how such an old man would marry such a young girl but keep in mind he was a prophet with much responsibility and apparently getting his instructions from Allah so maybe he married but did not Consummate until she had a "sexy" body i.e. until 16 at least.



Whatever the reason we are not supposed to make sense of everything but rather follow what we believe and reject what we do not, and if you believe in one god and Muhammad was his prophet then you are Muslim the rest is not for us to judge or make sense of .

The 9 year old thing was actually started at 6. It was a political marriage to Aisha, the daughter of one of his buddies. They political marriage happened when she was 6 and he ended up taking her home to consummate the marriage when she was 9. It is not clear on the Qur'an on whether he bedded her at that age or not, but presumably and for legitimacy of the marriage he may have had to. That does not mean he was a pedophile, but following the decrees of that era. For all we know he may have not had sex with her until she wall well into the high teens (He died when she was 18), but that will never be proven.

He did not have an affair, he was married to her. When Aisha was 9, the marriage was consumed and Muhammad was 53 then. Aisha was then socially and psychologically still a child as is evidenced by the fact that she was still given to her toys, she was unaware of what was happening around her, and her playmates behave as would the children at present times.

One half of the Muslim world says that the Prophet never had sex with Aisha when she was 9.

The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with 'Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).



Volume 7, Book 62, Number 18: - Narrated 'Ursa:



The Prophet asked Abu Bakr for 'Aisha's hand in marriage. Abu Bakr said "But I am your brother." The Prophet said, "You are my brother in Allah's religion and His Book, but she (Aisha) is lawful for me to marry."





Volume 5, Book 58, Number 236: Narrated Hisham's father:



Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married 'Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old.



There's more hadiths written by muslims and NOT by Christians or Jews.
