Ramadan: How Do You View This?

I'm not a Muslim, BUT I'm learning about Islam, and am interested in it. I have thought about reverting, but I want the decision to come 100% from my heart not to be driven my emotion. I want to particupate in this year's Ramadan, and I know it won't count as anything, unless I give my Shahada, but I want to do it because I want to experience what it is like. I know what fasts are, I have done them in the past when I was an active Christian.

Do Muslims see it as an offense when a "non-Muslim" participates in Ramadan?

What are some suggestions as a first timer in participating in Ramadan?

I am a Muslim and I don't think offense when a "non-Muslim" participates in Ramadan,

And for first timer keep patience for first two or three days then everything will seems normal. Even after Ramadan we miss fasting.

May Allah bless you.

no one can tell you to do anything, you have to decide what you want for yourself....you wont be doing anyone a favor for converting but yourself..try reading the Qur'an and what it means and try fasting to learn new things and experience it..my best recommendation is visit the mosque ones a week and you'll see a change in your life style

Where I live,non-muslims occasionally fast, just so to feel in the mainstream. And it is taken casually. No problem.

The more realistic approach is to watch new converts videos and you'll know your answer that many of them actually went to mosques to observe what Muslims do. some went with friend and some alone, and listen their story by them. Nobody offended by them
